This book was great in the first half but kind of dragged in the second. The pacing seemed a bit off. I also found myself getting more annoyed that

many of Talon and Calista’s relationship problems could be solved by him simply telling her about his deal with Bahamat and by Calista not taking everything so personally

. This book does end on a “cliffhanger” which I’m putting in quotes because I feel like this plot twist was/is going to be very predictable. That said I’m still invested in these characters and their stories and look forward to seeing what happens in the next book!
