Never regretted buying this book!! It’s a piece of movie that comes alive with just words. However using the first person point of person makes it confusing to decide who is speaking at the moment without reading through the details and identifying the font. 5/5 - PERFECT READ
One of the books that I read so quickly….
I want to see the movie ASAP
So beautiful. Touching on imaginations, human issues, complexity of memory, and gender diaspora.
It all started with a dream. 三葉 dreams of going to Tokyo after being so tired of living in the countryside. The communal lifestyle that kind of restricts freedom because everybody knows you. Whereas in big cities you are kind of like yourself cos you walk through a sea of strangers. She becomes 瀧 and does a good job of trying to flirt with a girl while working at the coffee store.
For 瀧 this is like the opposite. He comes into the countryside and becomes 三葉 to interact with her grandma.
They both begin to realise that their identities are being wrapped as soon as 三葉 in disguise of 瀧 sends messages to a girl.
瀧 after becoming him again. Finds out about 三葉 and went on a trip to the countryside, but forgot exactly what the name was so he sketched it…..
later he found out that the town that 三葉 was from got bombed from an asteroid….
Then 瀧 goes into dream to become 三葉 to warn the villagers of the upcoming asteroid in order to escape away from death… this plan…
瀧 falls in love with 三葉….. but they both never remember their names … a loss of memory each time they both wake up. This is why 瀧 however, always search for this girl in spite of being scared away by her death from a record seen in the library.
Actually… what is deciphered was that 三葉 and 瀧 bumped into others year ago on the Tokyo metro. But again memory issues.
What’s ur name?
This book teaches us that the most painful thing is forgetting about the person you love. And the struggle that comes behind to quest for a soulmate, even from dreams.
Seize your moments. Remember the good moments of your life. Stop inundating with the bad ones.
LOVE LOVE the author’s effort to describe the urban setting. Makes me want to go to Tokyo and feel the sense of hope for the 莘莘學子 that are going somewhere far in quest for a better future.

One of the most beautiful series I've read in years. Truly loved it. The plot and the characters were just so good. But still I feel some incompleteness in it. Maybe it was the ending. I believe I might watch the movie too.
