GRAPHIC NOVEL

After my experience with American Born Chinese, and because I've heard a lot of good things about this book, I was sad it didn't quite meet my expectations. However, I did like that Art wrote this story based on conversations with his father. I think by turning it into a graphic novel Spiegelman appeals to younger readers, while still being able to share with them information about a historic event, from a personal perspective.
