This fun-shaped book has a tab for each page, showing a different shade of blue. On each page, a variety of activities are described as possible if everything were that type of blue. The page on the right has the images, while the page on the left has the words, but there are pictures in place of the words sometimes, so the reader has to say the word that goes with the picture.

I like that it shows how there can be different kinds of blue, like “peacock blue” or “sky blue,” as that is a good way to learn colors can have different shades. The pictures taking place of words had me thrown off, but I think children would enjoy trying to guess what the word is. The illustrations all look they were just colored with a crayon, which brings this book down to a more realistic and fun level for kids.
