An illustrated, translated, gorgeous children's book! What more do we need!
This is a wonderful story about a pet Caiman. The illustrations are lovely. (This is part of Amazon's free kindle books for World Book Day for 2022 and is currently free as of 4/14/22).
I love love a good children's story. Awesome illustration

The story details this caiman's life from the day it was found by some kids until Faoro's death, and the bonds that animals and humans. [a:Maria Eugenia Manrique|918799|Maria Eugenia Manrique|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] was one of the kids who visited the caiman frequently in her youth.
It's always interesting to see the way kids react to true stories that seem implausible, because they realize that their narrow view of the world is not the only view that exists, and that definitely happened when I read [b:The Caiman|56483329|The Caiman|Maria Eugenia Manrique|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1620290810l/56483329._SX50_.jpg|88129369] to my 4th grade student. [b:The Caiman|56483329|The Caiman|Maria Eugenia Manrique|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1620290810l/56483329._SX50_.jpg|88129369] allows readers to step into a new world of a far-off reality, and it ignites the imagination in what is and what could be.
This is a really cute story, although I have to say it's definitely a "don't try this at home" book.

A children's book depicting the true story of a beloved Caiman.
Beautifully written and illustrated. I love the wiiiiide presentation of this incredible book. I cried a bit.
