I'm not very familiar with this version of Spider-man. The comic gave barely any context and I had to do a lot of research just to understand the gist of what the plot is. 

Only by the end I felt I had a vague grasp of what was going on. 

I wouldn't recommend this story for newcomers of Spider-man 2099. I'd try another story first.
