Things I liked:
  • Mere’s character was so relatable and so sweet. I loved getting to know her and see her reach for happiness.
  • Mere and her cousin’s relationship was sooo funny to me. I loved their opposite natures and how they supported each other.
Things I didn’t like:
  • The romance was cute but I found myself wanting more from it.
  • Cesare was a bit too mysterious. I wish we knew more about him and his character.

I really liked the characters and the plot. Vega in particular was very interesting, even though she was just a side character (in this book).

The main reason for my dissatisfaction is the writing style. Almost every single paragraph is a single sentence, and the author tends to repeat ideas or sentiments when they don't need to. This means that the writing is both boring and too fast. I was a little disappointed because the plot and characters were great, but the writing is genuinely intolerable, and I don't think I'll continue this series.

I finally read a dark romance :D

I was in a reading slump so when I came across this book in my tbr I decided to give it a try.

Mere (fc: Rocío Camacho):
- She didn’t annoy me which was good.
- I like her character development throughout the book mostly in the middle.
- I feel like I have a connection with her like kinda a relate to her but not really…

Cesare (fc: Charlie Edwards)
- This man is very much boyfriend material.
- He’s so caring towards Mere it’s so cute!
- I kinda wish I knew more about him besides home being a manwhore but I guess I have to read the whole series to know more?

This book was alright a quick read even though this took me five days to read.

I’m more curious about Vega and who she ends up with. We all need someone like her who cares for us and gives us a boost of confidence.

There were so many information that was unnecessary and kept adding suspense which I didn’t like.

If I’m completely honestly after reading this book I am black out and I can’t remember what happened in the book.

Overall 3/5 stars. The book was alright. Not bad but not good. A very quick read if I was consistent with my reading. I will now read the whole series and get to know everyone bc it was kinda confusing knowing the characters and who is who.

My least favorite. It was just SO SLOW! I actually liked that Mere had all her quirks. I felt like Cesare was very understanding and loving about it. Vega was a great side character along with some crazy. The storyline was just so incredibly slow. I feel like the situation at the flower shop could have gained some momentum in the storyline to help things along. Jessica's books either flow smoothly or you have to wade through too many thoughts and descriptions. I still love the ones that are exciting!
