it just doesn’t feel very… inspired? it feels like a bunch of things kind of slapped together. i find the fmc frustrating and her inner monologue to be infantile. lol?

This was such a fun, cozy read! Sweet FMC, gentle but strong MMC, great supporting characters! And who doesn’t love a Jam (Spell) Shop? I can’t wait for the next one! I want to know all about all of these characters!

I would've rated it higher if it didn't take me 40% of the book to really get into it. Once I did though, it was a cute story and lots of cozy magic. A focus on trusting others and building a community, this book has a little bit of magic and a little bit of romance, and overall an easy read. 

There were some weird writing choices throughout, but not enough to fully put me off the book. I'm currently unsure if I'll read the next book in the series
