Such a creepy book, so close to my heart. The imagery was unreal in this classic horror novel. You will not be able to put down this phenomenal, quick read. Treat yourself to this modern classic!

A classic. What's not to love? You really feel for this family who gets swept up in things way bigger than themselves. You can see it unfolding but are also keenly aware of how they would look totally batsh!t to anybody they attempted to gain help from. The writing puts you right in the thick of their pain and confusion and grief, then leaves you there to wallow. A steady tale of psychological terror, from start to finish.

Another example of a novel written in the 70's being so much better than most of those written today!
This one was sooooo good!!! Super scary and an ending that blew me away. I've never seen the movie so I had no idea what to expect, but loved it.

It has been 29 years since I've read this book so I can't guarantee the accuracy of my rating. I just remember loving this book when I read it and being disappointed that I wasn't the daughter of Satan.

Such a great classic in horror. My 2nd time reading it and having a slightly different filter now that I have kids and just more exposure to things. Good stuff!
