It was a 4 for me until the last 20 pages. The revenge and retribution was perfection. Most of the acclaim for this book stems from its connection to the original Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, so I likely would have appreciated it more had I previously read that book. However, I might seek it out now to fill in the rest of the story.

This is an extraordinary book. I was riveted to it for the whole time. The ending is stunning, beautiful, and shocking, and if you're in the last 30 pages, it's impossible to put the book down.
