Completes the adventures of Prometheus, as he tries to find a human hero and save himself from capture by The Avenger (a giant brass bird, very evil). In this book, Zeus has been kidnapped and Hermes must rescue him; in the process they kill a monster and all the monsters vow revenge. So the Avenger thinks he can take advantage of this and he gets the monsters to come with him into the future to capture Prometheus AND Zeus. Meanwhile, our human narrator this time is Sam, who helps his mom sell fake medicine in a travelling snake oil-type show in Eden City. Once again there's lots of fun, puns, the narrator talking directly to you the reader, and mythological action.

The final installment in the Fire Thief Trilogy finds Prometheus still looking for his hero. Back in Eden City he must join with Zeus against the Avenger and a whole plethora of Greek monsters to save the town. Will Prometheus find his hero and return to ancient Greece? A surprising conclusion to a fun and humorous trilogy.
