Shu (Set & Jah’s middle brother) was deeply affected by the child abuse he and his brothers received at the hands of their father (Omar). Yet, he still regularly visits Omar who now resides in a facility due to dementia. Shu becomes smitten with his young caretaker (Denver) who’s just as broken as him. When she corrects his assumption that she wouldn’t want to “fuck [his] old ass,” it sets off a night of passion that sparks new beginnings for them both. This is the most serious and saddest book in the series. This had limited spice and started off slow but was a good wrap up for the Mitchell boys.
