Ég féll algjörlega inn í líf þessa fólks og var mjög emotionally invested í hvernig færi fyrir þeim. Hámhlustaði á hana á ráðstefnu og nýtti hverja mínútu sem ég gat til að setja hana í eyrun. Karakterarnir svo vel skrifaðir að maður trúir varla að þau séu ekki til. Mæli með að hlusta á hana því hreimur lesandans staðsetur verkið svo vel í Dublin.

The writing style isn’t bad - in fact it’s very unique - but I just can’t get into it. I don’t care about the characters. I don’t know what the point of this book is. Feels like a “Goldfinch” scenario where at the end I’ll be like, “what was the point?”

Maybe I’ll pick it up again someday because it is highly rated but just not feeling it.
