I did really enjoy this book, however it took until the third section. The ending was a bit blah idk like was expecting a bit more.

WOW can’t believe I enjoyed a Sally Rooney book other than Normal People. What a heartbreaking, introspective, devestating but also beautiful book, I couldn’t stop crying at the end.

Whoever says this is even vaguely a romance book needs to give their head a wobble. Yeah there’s romantic relationships developed and analysed but it’s mainly about relationships, platonic, familial, sexual, romantic. Why we need them, why we use them and how they coexist with each other.

-0.5 stars for the lack of quotation marks bc it honestly offers nothing for the narrative or style apart from being a bit pretentious.
