I'm not finishing this right now maybe later.I took this book as a romance but as others have mentioned this is more of a "self discovery" type of a book than romance, which i'm so not in the mood for!

This is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. The actual content of the book is actually pretty simple and not all that riveting. That being said it brought me out of a brutal reading slump. This book does slow burn in a unique way. It’s not mutual yearning with denial for a trivial reason that we often see in this genre instead it spends its time focusing on aspects of love that truly matter. Friendship, respect, trust, commitment, and loyalty. This book spends its time building a believable love that is not just sexual tension but a tangible connection that is built from distain but mutual respect for the other. I liked that it didn’t have a super in depth plot but instead spent time creating their friendship. My biggest complaint is we didn’t get to see more competitions with the two of them since it spent a lot of time building up to that.

Enemies to lovers, brothers best friend, sports romance what else do you need. This was such just a fun read parts of it had me laughing out loud. It was such a sweet romance and I really liked the main character and her issues. The pacing near the end got a bit strange but it wasn’t too bad. And the rest definitely made up for it. This is a great example of what Mariana does best. The slow burn was SO REAL. Like if you don’t like slow burn don’t read this book. But she’s one of my favorite authors. This is only female mc pov and I wish it was dual. Also the one sec scene was really weird he likes licks her belly button wtf!?! But it’s such a great book I still recommend it greatly.

This was so much better than the wall of Winnipeg and me because the characters had actual personalities. Jasmine acts like 14 year old sometimes but i really resonated with her story with her dad. Loved the family. This isnt really a romance book though theres only really like 50 pages of romance in the entire book so think of it more as just regular fiction with a romance subplot.

After taking a break from the rink, a 26-year-old figure skater gets propositioned by her arrogant, world-renowned colleague to form an unlikely pair.
God, I love enemies-to-lovers where the guy has been hiding his feelings all along. The girl is stupidly stubborn, but she does show some heart. Not the biggest fan of girls who put other girls down but whatever, the hero more than makes up for it.
