This thriller story was filled with shocking, and unfortunate plot twists.

Mrs.Park's writing was very detailed, and provided an in depth analysis on the corrupt nature of the    film/tv industry, and the secrets that stay hidden by any means necessary.

The main life lesson throughout the story was that the truth always reveals it's self, and when it does there's no where to hide.

The characters each had their own motives, and beliefs. The main character Chobahm made a choice to protect her family, and for a chance at a better life. The teamwork ,and fierce determination from Shinae, Somyoung, and Chobahm was amazing.

From start to finish this thriller captured my attention with it's secrets, mystery,Science Fiction elements, and strong cast of characters.

I look forward to reading the sequel when it comes out Spring 2025.

I thoroughly enjoyed this! Its vibes felt a little like The Selection, mostly in the reality TV aspect. The world building was well done, and though the story really focused on plot over character, I was in for the ride! The world that Park has created is fascinating, and I'm excited to see more of it in a second book.

There are a lot of twists and turns by the end, even if I could see some of them coming. I also appreciated that this is a dystopia with basically no romance. So definitely bonus points for that!

I have two reactions: 1. I’m just flabbergasted WTF did I just read! 2. This was such an interesting story! I felt like at the last quarter of the book there was A LOT going on so it felt like too much was stuffed towards the end. I liked the fmc (not so much in the beginning) I was really engaged with her choices but I didn’t connect with her much or the other characters. There is more to the story as it’s a duology I don’t know if I will continue the series though since I didn’t connect with the characters. Overall I really enjoyed this crazy ride.
