The last two Katherine Center books I’ve read were about really strong women in unusual professions (a bodyguard and a firefighter). This one is the opposite. Sadie is a portrait artist who has a seizure and finds out she needs to have brain surgery. She also ends up facing the fact that she has always told everyone she is ok, no matter what happens, but she really hasn’t been since her mom died.
I love that Katherine Center’s books are a joy to read. They make me smile and laugh, and are often filled with kindness and unusual friendships, with just a little romance.
Loved a couple of the fun twists in this that I didn’t see coming.
