A mixture of thinking "those are my exact thoughts put onto the page in words," and the opposite. Fascinating examination of books, reading and writing and some aspects that find a new relevance with the rise of AI. The plot was the least interesting part.

Cute premise but not enjoyable to read. The best part was wondering whether the notes in the margins of my used copy were printed or added by a previous reader (it was a previous reader, not Italo Calvino).

This is way too slow and nothing is happening nor seems that will happen. This kind of book that is really deep with the words and goes over simple narrative is a hard read that is just not what I'm looking for right now.
