Very clever and humourous and festive in that Discworld way, plus there’s Death and Susan in this so that’s good enough for me.

This is my favorite discworld-Death book so far. I especially liked Death's scenes as the Hogfather.

Idk, this one just doesn't grab me as much as some of the others? I think it made the points it had to make well, and it was executed with his usual mastery of the English language, and it was still enjoyable overall, just felt different

There’s not enough Christmas stories out there that aren’t hallmark romances. I picked this up purely because it’s a Christmas story and I wanted to try a discworld book. I loved the fact this is a standalone book and the main character is death. Death is a great character and I see why people love him. The world building, plot, everything is fantastic but it has 2 of my biggest pet peeves in book. One being footnotes. I hate footnotes with a passion after reading “house of leaves” and the other being no chapters. This was just 400 pages with no chapters, parts nothing. It means you don’t know where to stop. I didn’t realize how much of a pet peeve this was until I read 4 in a row with this issue.
