I saw ppl write often that all biology students should read Darwin's work but really there is nothing here you can't get from a classroom, other than learning about Darwin says that we now know is false, such as different dog breeds coming from different common ancestors as well as the you know, racism

My clinical obsessive-compulsive disorder made me read this for some reason. It is 800 pages about sheep, fossils, and pigeons all for a conclusion that was not in any way shocking or groundbreaking today. You’d think someone so celebrated for their so-called brilliance would be at least a 50/50 writer, but sometimes things don’t turn out the how you would expect.
