Will pick it up for sure later but not in the mood to read a Discworld book right now. I’m too distracted to pay too much attention to the words, and that’s not the way to read a Pratchett book ;)

I was too bored to read a book this long. I don't know if it's the sports focus, or the fact that I made it almost a third in and there was no sign of Rincewind (from what I can find this is listed as the last book in his arc), or what. But I had an ok time reading the wizard's arc and I'm ok with not finding out what happens in this book.

The thing about Football the important thing about Football, is that it is not just about Football.

This is very true about the Unseen Academicals. In this much welcome of the new Disc World novel we head back to the unseen University with Ahnk Morpork, with the usual host of loved characters. Rincewind, Ridcully, Sam Vines making a small cameo. Though I wish there was more then a few glimpses. Though we are introduced to some new characters, who are very enjoyable. Mysterious Mr Nutt, Trev Likely the master of kicking a tin can, Glenda master of the pies, and Juliet, whose cleanliness is next to godliness, which was erratic, beyond all understanding and seldom seen.

This isn't probably the best disc world to start on, it is littered with Disc World in jokes. But if you are a lover of the Disc on the shoulders of elephants flying around on a giant turtle through space you will love this. But you don't need this review too know that.

I just like the sound of my own words :)
