This book by Nicolas Sparks is definitely one of my favourites now. At first, it seemed as if it were just another romance novel, but as I read on, I realised how profound it was. This book really managed to reach inside of me and touch my heart. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the romance genre.

Hated it. I did not connect to the love story at all. The plot was... well, not really a plot. It was pretty much an entire book devoted to two people telling each other that there love was the most magical of all loves. I strained a muscles rolling my eyes.
Also, I just found the writing to be weak and cliched.
On a side note, after the book was an interview with the author. That was interesting. Nicholas Sparks telling an abbreviated story of his life was funny and engaging.

The one book where I’ll say the movie was better than the book. Usually I’ll enjoy a book even if I’ve already seen the movie and know what’s going to happen. This was not the case with The Notebook and it was a little disappointing.
