Mix Love, Actually with every Hallmark Movie about a Christmas prince and add in some spicy sex scenes and you've got Duke, Actually.

If you're a fan of fake dating (for revenge!), fake friendships that turn into real friendships, or friends to lovers, I reccomend you check it out.

Overall Duke, Actually is a super enjoyable romance with Christmas cheer to spare BUT  *SPOILER*
I did find that, after all the build up, the ending was a big let down. The silly misunderstandimg that caused their breakup felt too forced and the simplicity of their reunion just didn't do it for me. Though it was nice to get an epilogue follow up.

Cute & heartwarming but if I have to read “sex feelings” as a way to say horny one more time I’m never going to have the “sex feelings” again. I liked the story a lot but the writing itself could use a little development.

It starts super slow but eventually I started to really enjoy the characters. Romance characters who actually say how they feel is a nice change of pace.

So stinking cute! And you don’t need to read the first book in order to read this “sequel”. I love the pop culture reference to Love Actually, the expansion of the disparity between the 1% rich and people living paycheck to paycheck, and another amazing love story. Max’s character development was unmatched and I truly fell in love with him myself. I wish there was more of Marie, Leo and Gabby from the first book.

I liked Max but also felt like he wasn’t fully fleshed out. He went from being suave man to not in like three pages, then the rest of the book he’s still being called suave but he hardly does anything in this book deserving that title. In the first book, yes he’s a playboy, but I wish we saw the reduction of playboy more than “all of a sudden” he’s in a dry spell. Idk the idea was there, execution was not (imo).

A Hallmark movie in a book. A literal made up country in the Alps that the royals can wander around the charming village down the lane from their palace. The main characters have such easy chemistry, and the third act break-up is slight mis-communication but definitely warranted. Very very slow burn, they don't kiss until over halfway through the book. He makes life fun and defintiely uses his riches to woo the girl. Treats her like a princess. It's adorable. Also her dog's name is Max and the boys name is Max and it's wonderfully ridiculous.
