not sure how i feel about the transition from present to past happening between chapters instead of volumes but the pacing has definitely improved. maybe that's just because i've recently seen the anime episodes but the cadence is more appropriate in the manga which doesn't dwell on details and moves the story forward smoothly. i haven't decided wether i'll continue the manga or catch up to the anime next but i'm leaning more towards the manga.
