I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed it, it seemed like it was cut and dried from the beginning but of course nothing is ever as it seems. I certainly did not expect it to end the way it did.

I loved The One Night Stand so this was a no-brainer for me to request. Carissa Ann Lynch engages you with the relationship of Chrissy and Natalie each involved in some way with a tragic event, the death of fourteen year old Jenny thirty years ago. Chrissy admitted to the murder and was sent to prison for thirty years, now she's back and says she didn't do it. Aspiring writer Natalie is willing to listen to her side of the story and try and get a book out of it.

This is an excellent whodunit, each new chapter brings a little more information to the reader meaning I was constantly changing my theories as I went along. To me, this is the best part of reading a thriller. I devoured this book in one sitting (it is a short book though) as I couldn’t put it down. The story line is engaging and surprising at the end.

The Bottom Line:
I loved this. An easy read, fast-paced and an insight into 2 different characters. It was interesting to see the perspective from two strong women.

Disclousure:
Thank you NetGalley, Carissa Ann Lynch and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an impartial review; all opinions are my own.

#NetGalley

QUESTION: Could they not come up with a more unique cover?

This is a thriller suspense story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. This is my first book by this author and I can't wait to read more from her. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life. The author's attention to details made the story feel realistic. The twists and turns kept me turning pages and left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what was going to happen next. The characters made the story easy, engaging and entertaining. They are connectable and I enjoyed all of them. This is a story about what happens when a young girl is found murdered in a field. The murdered was sent away but now they are getting out. What really happened to the young girl? Who is the real murderer? I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book.

It was a good, fast and entertaining read. Hooked me from the beginning till the end and I finished it in one sitting. It ends at 70% though, the rest is excerpts from her other works.

Just like all of Carissa Ann Lynch’s other books, SHE LIED SHE DIED is a fantastic twisty thriller that had me frantically turning pages all the way to the shocking ending that made my jaw drop to the floor.

At the age of 9, Natalie Bryers and her family are thrust into the middle of a tragic story when the body of a teenager is found on their farm. The discovery sets her family on a new course and thirty years later, Natalie, a wanna-be writer currently working at K-Mart, finds herself living alone on the farm and still dealing with the fallout of that day.

When the young woman that confessed to the crime is released from prison and returns to town, Natalie’s life takes another turn. Chrissy Cornwall wants to tell her story and she wants Natalie to write it. But writing it means facing the past Natalie has been so desperately trying to forget.

The characters in SHE LIED SHE DIED pull you in and make you care about them even as you question their actions and the book moves at a breathtakingly fast pace giving the reader just enough information to make you desperate for more with every chapter.

Carissa Ann Lynch just keeps getting better with every book and is a must read author for me.

Thank you to One More Chapter for the advance reading copy.

When Natalie was just a child, she witnessed a horrific murder in her own back yard. The body of a girl just a few years older than her was found, stabbed and burned. The neighbor girl was accused of the murder and was sent to prison, but now she's out, and Natalie wants to get in contact with her again. Something about the girl's death never felt right with Natalie, and decades later, she wants to dive back into the case and figure out what really happened.

She Lied She Died is a gripping and suspenseful story that kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot twists were intense, and when I thought I had the mystery solved, I turned out to be wrong. Although I was able to fly through this story because of how addicting it was, there were several parts that felt cheesy and rushed, which is honestly the only reason this wasn't a five star read for me! Regardless of these moments in the story, I must admit that this is one of the quickest books I have read in a while because of the fast-paced and action-packed plot! I would still recommend She Lied She Died to any and all thriller readers because of the twisted truths and lies throughout the book.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK/One More Chapter for providing an ARC of She Lied She Died!
