I don’t think there’s much about this book that hasn’t already been said, but I’ll give a few of the areas where this book falls into my life personally.
First off, Thus Spoke Zarathustra is a “book for everyone” but is not the best introduction to Nietzsche. If you really want to enjoy this book, which I think anyone can, you should read a summary of Nietzsche’s most clear philosophical concepts. If I had read this book knowing nothing about Nietzsche, I still would’ve liked it. However, knowing a bit of information about “eternal recurrence,” “bad conscience,” and “will to power” (in addition to the obvious ones like the Ubermensch) had me recognizing both subtle and obvious nods to the basis of his philosophy.
Zarathustra is basically the existentialist Pilgrim’s Progress, in the sense that every single character is a representation of an entire ideology playing out in the real world. This is especially the case in the later chapters.
Undoubtedly, Zarathustra is DENSE. A thiccy boi, if you will. And it’s neither good nor bad for that reason alone. Specifically, Zarathustra’s obtuse prose and idyllic poetry hold so much content worth considering that it’s worth the time to sit with it. You may feel like you bit off more than you can chew, but you really just need to chew slowly and savor the flavor.

كتاب مليء بالرمزية الشديدة، صعب يتفهم كل شىء فيه ولكن يجب أنه يتقرأ عدة مرات ومع ذلك عجبتني مواضيع كثيرة فيه، وتعبيراته سحرتني
Uh oh big cringe man Nietzsche here
I've been meaning to get good at actually reading philosophy so thought I'd start somewhere fairly straightforward.
I think the interesting bit about this is the form: mock-Biblical New Testament narrative, which at times obfuscates the clarity of meaning, but I think Nietzsche was aware of this - part of why Derrida was curious about him.
There's some worthy erudition here, and I think it merits a reread at some point, but so much is let down by the entirely catastrophic chapters on women: 'Everything in woman is a riddle, and everything in woman hath one answer -it is called pregnancy' ok Fred

The only reason its not a 1 star is that there is good content and valid points made, but they're so buried in the mire of self-centered ego and inflated self-worth that it almost makes it not worth digging into.
There's a lot of imagery used to describe ideas that really just falls flat on its face, maybe lost in translation?
Maybe I came to the book with too-high hopes due to 100+ years of hype, but I really was let down by this book, to the point where I have no desire to read any further Neitzche.

Damn Nietzsche goes kinda hard when you don't have 16 year olds telling you how great nihilism is...
part one was good but the rest were just a subtweet a lengthy obnoxious one at that plus i didn't like the biblical style of writing it's just...cringey
