cucina_kristina's review against another edition
slow-paced
2.0
I almost gave up on this book about 40% of the way through, but kept going because it had so many great reviews. There is a big even that happens at the halfway point - Literally 150 pages into a 300 page book. I thought after that happened that things would start to get more interesting, but they never did. I didn't feel particularly drawn to any of the characters either. They were all kind of one-dimensional and boring. The main character is also not great. I ended up skimming the last 4 or 5 chapters, skipped to the very end, and didn't feel like I had missed anything - plot or character-wise. Really regretting not sticking to my instincts and DNFing in the first place.
