This volume's first half felt a bit slow, but the second half did the leg work to more than make up for it. Bishamon really stands out in this volume for the way she is taking responsibility for things while also being supportive to those around her. I really like how her character arc has developed. With her also claiming the Burier, I'm extremely intrigued to see what she ends up doing. The divine council for kannazuki is the best part of this volume for me as it has some really fun scenes, like everyone working on making matches for the new year. We also get to see the gods have some grand world building discussions as we meet the Emishi, Takemikazuchi, and Kiun. Take is kind of a pain with his obsession with getting a blessed vessel and poor Kiun doesn't really seem to care about becoming one. Also seeing Stray involved with Take doesn't bode well for anyone going forward.

Interesting

We see some interesting developments in this volume as we visit the heavens and meet more gods. I’m excited to read the next volume after this one’s ending! 4 stars.
