I finished reading this book last week in Bandung, but I forgot to write a personal note for it. Maybe it was because work has been so busy lately.
This book shows depression from a cat’s point of view. I’m amazed that even with such a heavy topic, the presence of the cat makes it feel lighter. So many simple things become more complicated because humans have hearts that feel. But cats are simple creatures. They sleep, eat, poop, and watch the world go by.
I know that cats can become the purpose of someone’s life. They make life easier to walk through. My family adopted a senior cat in 2020, but he passed away in 2021. He was an orange cat, but didn’t behave like a typical orange cat. He was calm, cuddly, and seemed so wise. He was my friend during my third and fourth semesters of college, which I call my depression era. Now I wonder what he thought about me back then, when I cried while doing my disrec, jurnal, TP, and laprak.

It was cute and short, with a sweet simple plot.
The style was a bit old-fashioned in terms of humour and colloquialism. No wonder my dad picked this book for me, it's very much more his humour than mine.
But yeah, it was nice as a palate cleanser.
