”Buxbaum, I’ve waited my whole life for you. For the love of God, put me out of my misery and let me woo you with coffee and chocolate sprinkles.”
Gosh — this was the perfect short story to cement Liz + Wes’ spot in my heart!! 🥹
Wes’ POV was everything that I expected it to be and more — getting the chance to be inside of his head and see Liz from his perspective was *chef’s kiss*.
(Wes practically worships the ground that Liz walks on and it’s the sweetest thing.)
I don’t know what else to say about this short story — from beginning to end it was just so sweet and perfect…
(I wish we had the entirety of “Better Than the Movies” from Wes’ POV — but I’m not sure I’d survive it!)
I will definitely be picking up Lynn Painter’s other novels after reading this masterpiece! ♡
