This was an absolute slog. Hated the writing style, cheesy, corny dialogue. The story was slow and boring. Couldn’t keep reading it.

I went into this thinking it would be a 5 star read, and while it was good, it didn’t quite pan out as 5 star. I never quite felt like the love story came fully together.

Plot took a turn but I kept going, overall it finished strong. I appreciated the details and the way the author painted the picture and made me feel like I was in Harlem.
