This is a good beach read - nothing too serious, a little romance, a little ghost friend. I might revisit this author if I'm looking for something that won't challenge my brain much, which is nice to have handy. The author lives on Nantucket, and I think it's interesting that she has this very privileged look at it because it's too horrendously expensive for like anyone else to visit for research. Really interesting niche that she made for herself. Would be interesting to write about the very normalized fatphobia in here.

A cute story but overall lacking, missed the mark a bit for my taste. Too many characters, it would’ve been impossible to flesh them all out to feel like real people, and the character of Grace’s ghost felt unnecessary and out of place. It was as if she only existed as a plot device to be able to float in between rooms/storylines when we easily could have just simply switched POVs. People love this and I understand why but, for me, it lacks depth.
