An excellent dark psychological thriller which I thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend to lovers of this genre!

Fiona Cummins does it again. I have loved every book she has written and this was no different.

There were so many parts in this book that I was not expecting. Such a great thriller, could not pick the twists at all.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this book if I'm honest. I was hooked and the chapters were short but I was expecting a much bigger twist. Like all of Geoffrey's chapters were pointless to me. I was expecting "he's the sisters real father and that's why Richard abused them" but there just didn't seem to be much explanation as to why anybody did what they did and how it all unfolded. A bit too chaotic in some parts unnecessarily. But I would still say it is worth the read.

A hidden gem.

This book has been sitting on my shelves for a while now, and I finally picked it up to devour it. It was dark. It was heartbreaking. It pissed me off. It got me a couple times with some jaw drops.

Bravo. Five stars.

This book is above the "meh" meter for me. It is very well written with great passages of description of the location and internal feelings and the emotions of the characters, but it doesn't captivate. It drags at times and there is something that is missing that I can't seem to pinpoint. Very interesting premise, but that exciting factor is missing. The tone is very grief-stricken and remorseful and the characters are journeying through a redemptive arc and that might be what is taking away from the high stakes of the psychological/thriller aspect of the story. Overall it was enjoyable.
