I was intrigued by the idea of seeing some of the hard work that goes into rebuilding after the world is 'saved', which is essentially what this explores. There were less plot twists and mysteries in this one, but I do think it follows less of a conventional story type than the first one, which I appreciated. There was an interesting tension between those communities that have been surviving all this time, and Eve who has turned up only very recently and saved the day - it makes sense that there wouldn't necessarily be that trust straightaway. I liked that the main antagonist did get some flashbacks and human moments to help explain why she made the decisions she did (

and appreciated the way the conflict was resolved in the end

). Enjoyed!
