I read this book partially by audiobook.
I had a really hard time struggling to get past the first chapter (so much waffling and with a dull setting for the start) and swapped to audio to assist.
The writing style is better suited to narration than reading paperbacks I think.
This is mostly a story about a journey to a place. They spend a lot of time deciding to travel, travelling, deciding how to search, searching and arguing about search methodology. However, I absolutely loved the last third of the book and the travel into Faerie.
Unfortunately it felt like the book ended just as the narrative found its feet and the author hit their groove.
