What a cliffhanger! I listened to this book, and I was engrossed from start to finish. I'm not sure how this trilogy will end, but it will certainly be with fireworks.

OK THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! I can't believe that I didn't read the first book sooner because this trilogy is legit the bomb. I won't summarize the details because there might be minor spoilers for you. So The Insiders was my first read by Tijan which was also a 5/5 star read. The book picks up kind of right after the first one and just like the first one, the pacing is perfect, the plot is perfect, so is the setting and KASH. I'm just all here for that guy. The writing is well done in this book just like the first one but you get to learn more about how the MC's world works.

The main characters are Bailey and Kash. In book one, it was written in only Bailey's pov but Tijan has also added some of Kash's which I absolutely loved. I enjoyed seeing more of their character development in this book and their relationship. There are many main and minor side characters in this book and I loved seeing how all the families worked together with who is the villain and not. The romance was the best part of this billionaire thriller. It was so cute and ship Bailey and Kash so hard. I love seeing how they work out their relationship as Kash has so many secrets that he is too scared to reveal. The steam level in this book is a 2.5/5 stars

The ending was really AMAZING. It ends with a whole plot list and I was just shocked. I won't spoil it just so you can read it for yourself but let me say that it was really sad. Now I just want book three to find out what happens next which is coming out soon. I really recommend reading this trilogy because it's soooo good. I never thought I would love it as much as I thought. There are no other books that can compare to how amazing this one is.

The Damaged is the second book in The Insiders Trilogy... the first book was a lot of information, a lot of revealing but book 2 does that and more! Tons of family drama where at times I let out a groan lol

Kash and Bailey's relationship is getting stronger and stronger, they can read each other perfectly, he's super protective of her and Bailey is Bailey... smart and sassy.

The ending of book 2 makes you want to run straight into book 3.

This review was originally posted on Cocktails and Books

In this second installment to the Insiders Series, Kash and Bailey continue to try to outwit Kash's grandfather while Bailey tries to figure out where she fits into her new circumstances.

I loved how Bailey grew in this one.  What she and Kash had to deal with was dark and full of drama, but I loved when it was Baily trying to figure out how she fit in with her graduate school classmates, build her relationship with her siblings and figure out how she felt about Chrissy and Peter.  It was a lot, but she truly started embracing friends and family.  It became apparent that she was going to need those friends as the middle book storyline unfolded.

The overarching storyline isn't shocking as it continued with the pursuit of the demise of Calhoun Bastien.   Poor Kash can't figure out who is friend or foe in this mess, but the true nature of what's happening in start to unravel and it's going to be interesting to see how this all falls out.

Was extremely lucky and excited to receive an ARC! It was the perfect birthday present.

The Damaged is book 2 in Tijan's Insider trilogy. It picks up where the first book leaves off. From the start it is a roller coaster and doesn't let up until the very last page. I could not put it down!

We find Kash and Bailey in a brand new situation as they try to navigate all the new things happening in their lives. Kash has been outed to the world as the grandson of one of the richest and most dangerous men in the world, as well as also being incredibly rich and powerful himself. Bailey is starting grad school and is no longer the anonymous girl she was used to. She's now the daughter of one of the biggest and most influential tech moguls.

There's so much to say but it's so much better to just go in and read. You meet, and immediately hate, Kash's grandfather. But we also get a lot of character growth from not only Bailey but also Matt, who endears me to himself more and more as the book goes on. You see Matt slowly become more of what he needs to be, but it's not without a lot of ups and downs with him.

There's definitely some craziness that happens in this book and the end has more twists than I could wrap my head around. However, it never gets too crazy and it all falls in line with the way this series is being shaped.

To say I can not wait for the next book would be an understatement!! Another great read by Tijan.

The Damaged is an action packed second book in a trilogy and I was so hooked. I gasped out loud more than once while reading. Again, while it is promoted as a romance, there is very little of that parsed throughout the story. This is full of family drama and tension. I really enjoyed this second book much more than the first. It ends on a cliffhanger so I am so glad that I can now read the third book thanks to St. Martin's.

Thank you to St. Martin's and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.
