I really like this season because they all try to be adults about things. Even Andrew !

I technically read this as individual issues months ago, but I just now thought about reviewing them as a whole volume. Looking back on these issues, I think the seasons are best read in one go. They do function as individual volumes, but they make more sense all together.

This feels very much like a next-to-last book. Clearly things are brewing with the portals and D'Hoffryn. The main connecting factor seems to be the Scoobies as a group. I appreciate the Buffy and Spike relationship for several reasons, but one is that despite the fact they have problems because they're a human/vampire couple they face lots of issues human/human couples have. That can be said for all the relationships in this series. Even though crazy shit is happening, we can relate to what's happening in some way. I also love how the writers & artists do things like include interracial gay couples in the background. Points for being socially aware!

Also I enjoyed this run because Megan Levens did a lot of the art. I liked her before I met her and commissioned something from her, but her art really does shine.
