This book made me genuinely scared. The pictures added a creepy element to the whole story. I couldn’t tell throughout the whole book if the spirit/ghosts were real and the end felt somewhat satisfying.

Yes- I finished it in 1 day & I wanted to see how this would end but it was really disappointing. I found the last quarter of this book so corny. Not scary just kind of silly.

(4.5) I loved this one. The drawings that went along with the story made me feel like i was actually part of the plot while reading! I couldn't put this book down as I was trying hard to solve the mystery along the way. The supernatural elements weren't overpowering and the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. Although it had a few cheesy bits, I really enjoyed this thriller and read it in two seatings!

The ending felt like a let down imo, but it wasn’t terrible. I enjoyed it and I liked the illustrations. It was a pretty easy read with the writing style.

I liked the set up and the mystery of the ghost + foil of an addict adding to the unreliable narrator trope. The characters were pretty 2 dimensional except for the main character and the weird psychic next door (a character I loved). If that had been more developed I would’ve given this a 5.
