While I mostly skimmed this book very very quickly while eating lunch, two different points in the book struck me as extremely pertinent, and reminded me of some of my own shame of running from the community back in the 90s when I was in college.

I really appreciated her honesty. She did have relations with married men and it upset me, but this is a real thing that happens in our communities that we need to discuss. As she mentioned in the introduction, she wanted to be real and get to the root of the problems that are affecting black relationships. This book was a real page turner and I really enjoyed reading it and learned a lot. I have a lot of respect for Sister Soulja.

This book change my life and how i look at the world. Its one of those books that you can read twenty thirty, even forty years from now and it will apply to you. The lessons will always be the same.
