When the lost plane of his childhood friend is found at the bottom of a loch, former DI Finn McLeod will have to solve another murder.
If you don't know Gaelic I recommend the audiobook. It definitely sets the mood hearing a Scottish accent.

Final book of a trilogy. Looking forward to reading the other books from this author.

Such a good series.....sad to see it end. It was a joy to read.

Part three starts with the discovery of a body in a plane after a "bog burst" (Can that really happen?). Fin is part of this discovery and leads back into a great tale regarding his time As a road manager for a band. Like the other two parts of this series, lots of flashbacks in time and great storytelling.

This series is so good. The first two were stellar and this one was just a shade less impressive for me. It took a long while for the plot to get into high gear. But it was still surprising and a well-told tale, full of long-kept secrets and emotion.

I loved this third book in May's Lewis trilogy. The characters are authentic and the story is a nice blend of a mystery and human nature. I'm reading all of May's book.

I really enjoyed this trilogy in general and loved how the landscape was such an important character in each of the books. I would have liked to give this last book 4 stars, but the introduction so late in the trilogy of people who were supposed to be so important to Fin, and the killing off of several of them, seemed kind of lazy writing to me.

Next up, a visit to the Isle of Lewis - I've really enjoyed this trilogy, and the glimpse into Scottish island life. Definitely recommended if you like murder mysteries. Or dark, gloomy settings.
