Quick fun read! I loved the details of the Indian culture and this novel had a lot less unnecessary fluff than Bollywood Affair.

I hadn't read a chiclit novel in a while, and well, now I remember why. After reading enough of these, they become a bit predictable - both character and plot. Still, there were parts of the story that were entertaining and there were others that were, ahem, explicit. Overall: underwhelmed.

DNF. Too much drama. Liked #1 book better

This is a typical romance novel but what makes it a little different is that the characters are Indian and Indian culture, especially things related to weddings is prominent. That's the part I enjoyed.

I found the overall storyline of the main character irritating and unbelievable. Her love interest far too perfect even by romance novel standards.

I have another book by this author which I'll probably read someday but if it doesn't grab me fast I'm going to abandon it.

D-R-A-M-A - so much angst and drama! And some depiction of schizophrenia that made me uncomfortable

Sonali Dev has become a new favorite of mine, and I keep wondering why I didn't read her books much earlier, since I have had some of them on my shelves for a long time!
The Bollywood Bride is both tender and sweet and extremely difficult all at the same time!
The character development is so well done, and the characters all felt very real to me.

this isn’t a typical contemporary romance and I went into it thinking that it was. I think that’s where my judgement is coming from. I always appreciate a South Asian centered story and this definitely immersed me in the culture and family dynamics that I’m so familiar with.  I think overall it was a good story but wish I got some more at the end.
