Confusing, pointless, self-important (is that a a word?) IMPORTANT STUFF SEEMS TO HAPPEN, but I don't care. In one issue, most of the JL members die, but in the next issue they just got better. Same with Darkseid. Ugly mess.

Read in preparation for Rebirth...

Not the best or worst by any means. For anyone new to the story, the narration will be VERY confusing, but the art provides a grim and epic visual appeal. As a WW fan, I love the shift of focus on her, but I think fans of the other Justice League members will be frustrated by their lack of involvement (aside from Batman, who is VERY involved, but makes some plain DUMB decisions).

One thing I DO appreciate about this story is the admission that origins and time have been "rewritten" and must be set to rights. It feels a bit like a confession of guilt on DC's part, and the first step to creating a good story is discarding the bad... This gives me a bit of hope.

It definitely leaves you hanging, so be ready for a massive cliffhanger. Or better yet, have vol. 8 handy, so you can dive right in.

Me, I just want to trudge through this mess so I can read Greg Rucka's Wonder Woman: Rebirth.
