My first steps into the delightfully funny world of Sex Criminals. I loved the setting and the characters and although the idea behind this series is completely wacko, it works. Very curious to read the second volume now.
(Also, yes, there is sex in it. It's called sex criminals. Some people call it graphic, but I think this is perfectly suited for everybody who doesn't believe their eyes will burn when they see a naked nipple)

I'm a sex nerd. Surprise surprise then, I loved this book.
This book has so many reasons to love it, but I'll focus on one in particular. Sex, beneath all the hoopla and pornography and discourse is supposed to be fun. Human beings procreate, but we've evolved to a point as a species that sex is now something we can do recreationally, and our imaginations have only fueled this. What's beautiful about Sex Criminals is that it presents sex as something fun. It's not a despicable sin to be chastised for. Nor it is just an itch to be scratched and quickly forgotten.
Sex is, when it's with the right person, something fun. Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky have created a world, and two characters who have turned sex into a super-power as well as something that can bring people even closer. And so like sexuality in real life, when one finds the right partner, it's like time stops.
Anyone, and everyone who enjoys sex should read this book.

I was looking for something to read as a literary palette cleanser after reading so many heavy books lately. This did it. Fun, funny and a librarian as the main character? Absolutely. I really enjoyed it. The whole orgasmic time-freezing was hilarious and original and the jokes were great. Overall, very cool. I don't typically read many graphic novels/comics but I'm glad I picked this one up.
Worth reading for the terrible sex puns in the background art alone.
The idea for this series is brilliant, fresh and too funny. I loved every single part of it, it's awfully, disgustingly dirty and I loved that. But also adorable and made me "awww" few times. Will continue!!
Such an entertaining read and bizarre concept! Excited to carry on with the series!
The title's strange, and I didn't sound like my sort of comic, but, wow, this series is actually really good.
More like a 2.5... some stuff I felt was really good and important, other stuff felt really old and offensive and not my jam. I won't be continuing this series but I'm glad I gave it a shot.
The concept is interesting and the art style is amazing! Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
