I don't know if this comic gets better with each volume, but this 1st one was definitely not the best out there. At this moment, I'm neither interested in the storyline nor the art, thus I'm not continuing on.
Without Mr. Fraction, this would be a one-note joke, repeated for shock value and laughs. Instead, this is a great and unconventional story (which I realize is perhaps not for everyone) that will make you really care. Additionally, it may make you realize that you have a DSM-listed disorder, but that may have been unique in my experience, too. It's gorgeous, it's hilarious (I laughed out loud more than once), it's sexy and fun and pushes relentlessly against the genre - Zdarsky's illustrations are worth studying. On to Volume 2!
Was really good and funny. Interesting story and idea.
fast-paced
Is there somebody who experiences things like me? if you've ever asked yourself that question, it's a good read!
Rather disappointing and I'm not really sure why it gets so much high praise. I had high hopes for this book (and series, though I now know I will not be continuing the series because it's just not for me). What seemed like such a funny, interesting premise just didn't deliver. The plot fell flat, the humour fell flat, the characters were flat and the art was just not my thing so this was a total miss for me.
Biggest problem: It was also rife with stereotypes. :(

Honestly a lot of really insightful underlying messages, I was impressed. The humor fell a little flat for me, but I liked it overall.
