More Mark Watney, Oh Yeah!
"I wish there were a way to spend more time on the surface. But oh well. 31 sols will have to do."

No, Shit!
549 SOLS! HOLY CRAP!
It's a good short story to get a glimpse of the amazing Mark Watney but it's just too short to make an actual plot. Okay, it captures some moments that we all love of him. Enough, go on and read it.

Not much to it. Nothing wrong with it, but not enough to do anything either.

Wished there was more. Ya know going into it's a short story, but it was short! Like how Watney says I wish there were a way to spend more time on the surface. But oh well. 31 sols will have to do." I wish there was more to this, but oh well. It'll have to do.

"I thought I’d be scared at this point. But I’m past terror and into that weird valley beyond it. I’m pretty anxious, but mostly I’m just impatient."

Great little prelude to the larger story of The Martian. I like the lack of scientific jargon in this and the control it has to solely focus on the character of Mark Watney and his emotions leading up to the launch of the Ares 3. Short but impactful read that I read that I'd recommend.

I had a fantastic time reading these entries, especially knowing what's going to happen next for him!

Even though this is super short, it's really ironic and I like that it was added.

Super short prequel story for The Martian. I'm a big fan of Weir's writing style. This gets you kinda hyped to read The Martian for sure.

A nice little short story playing out the scenario before the Mars mission with typical Mark Watney humor.
