Eine wirklich kurze Kurzgeschichte als Vorstufe zum Marsianer. Nein, man muss diese Geschichte nicht gelesen haben - nicht einmal als Fan. Dennoch hat mir der Text sehr viel Freude gemacht, da Weir es schafft, sogar in dieser kurzen Geschichte so viel Mark Watney unterzubringen, wie es eben geht. Und Weir hat sehr viel von seinem Charakter dort hineingebracht. Hut ab!
Wer also mal 10 Minuten Zeit hat, kann sich dieses Stückchen unbesorgt zu Gemüte führen.

Where to find it? Google for it, there are several websites with it as text.
Its pretty short. I really liked The Martian, and Diary of an AssCan is just a handful of paragraphs for the preparations before the events in The Martian. There isn't enough of a story in the 2-minutes it takes to read. Could probably be expanded into its own true book, but I don't think there would be enough to make it good.

5 Stars! Short 4-pager. Getting me ready to read a book I haven’t read before but seen the movie 3+ times. Hopefully it’ll be enjoyable!
