I love Karina Halle's books/writing, and I always trust her to deliver a great story with fun characters. The Swedish Prince started out really good, I was in particular kind of obsessed with the HOT Swedish Prince Viktor. He was a very nice and understanding persona and I liked him right away. Maggie, has been dealt a bad hand, but she tries to make it work with what she has. She left everything behind and goes back to her home town to take care of her 5 siblings (which isn't easy). I appreciated how hard she worked to make a better life for them. It wasn't always easy, and she had her issues with some of them, but she never gave up, which shows she is a strong person.

I loved how Viktor and Maggie met, it was very fun and sexy. However, for me it was a bit difficult to connect with the characters. I also didn't feel a very strong bond between these two. I think the main reason for that is the fast pace of their relationship. At one point the story was elevated and it was put on high gear, which resulted in me feeling left on the side-lines of the story instead of being right in the middle. I still liked the plot and characters, but I think I would've enjoyed it more if I had time to really get into the story. However, I do want to say that I loved the fun plot and the interaction between Viktor and Maggie's siblings.

The author had me hooked before the book even started. Someone who loves Roman Holiday but gets frustrated at the ending, therefore writes her own version but has them together at the end? YES PLEASE. Like I mentioned, hooked before I even started reading.

It also helped that this book was just plain fun. I was either laughing or smiling through practically the entire thing. And the little references to Roman Holiday were amazing. “Well, I’m not Gregory Peck.” I loved it. I need to rewatch the movie now.

This was my first Karina Halle book but it definitely won’t be my last.

I don't think I'll ever be done swooning over Viktor. Holy hotness! Karina gave us everything in this one and I've fallen in love with her all over again! This story was so sweet, so damn steamy, and all around gave me too many feels to handle and I'm perfectly okay with that!

Seeing Viktor trying to come to terms with his new role in life and wanting to escape the reality of it all, as well as seeing Maggie trying to navigate through the life she's been dealt, had me almost in tears and yet, when Viktor met Maggie and had all those damn adorable (and hot) moments with her, I couldn't stop smiling like a fool!!

This is my favorite Karina book by FAR and fuck, why must she introduce us to Viktor knowing damn well our standards are shooting up high! . . . . . . .

*brb, packing my bags for Sweden*

The Swedish Prince starts off talking about getting Rick Rolled, during oral. So naturally, I began falling in love. It was so easy to breeze through this. Not that it was a quick read. I just couldn’t get enough of Viktor and Maggie. They were sweet and sour, gentle and rough. But most of all, the perfect instalove kind of crazy! A commoner who falls in love with a prince, who is pretending to be a commoner. BUT! His identity isn’t a secret to her. And she really doesn’t care about the crown upon his head. They both have a painful (recent) past. And they start to heal with each other. They fight through it all, together. There’s kids involved, and royal engagements, and long flights, and emo years, and hiding in hotels, and dirty little secrets. But none of it matters because Mr Swedish Driver’s License and His Maggie are the perfect fit.

Mitt liv, mitt allt. Mitt Maggie.
My life, my everything. My Maggie.

My Favorite Quotes:
•”The moon doesn’t seem big enough. I might be over the sun.”
•”I could touch you, taste you, be so deep inside you that you’re fused to my skin, do this forever and it still wouldn’t be enough. Forever with you isn’t enough.”
•”That was for you. This is for me.”
•”Min lilla persika.” (my little peach)
•”I want to see what you look like when you call my name.”
•”I don’t wish to be too rough with my Maggie.”
•”I want to last forever. I never want this to end.”
•”I will come back for you.”

9/10 Dirty Birdy
8/10 Instalove

The Swedish Prince is the story of Maggie and Viktor. Maggie is an American girl that has not had the easiest life. Maggie is the guardian of her siblings and is drowning trying to raise and provide for them. Maggie is a tough cookie and deserves to be swept off her feet. Viktor is the prince I've been dreaming about since I was a little girl. He is such a hottie with an accent. I might have equally have fallen for his best friend and fellow prince, Magnus. I really hope we get a Magnus book.

The Swedish Prince is a standalone, royal romance inspired by Roman Holiday with a gender reversal. I was super excited to read this book. I grew up on the Disney classics. Traveling is something that I love to do. I followed Karina on her research trip. Overall, I enjoyed the majority of this book.

I loved every freaking second of this book! So good. I love the story line, I love the characters, and the secondary characters as well. Well written, well researched, and you could tell the author loved what she wrote, it bleeds though the words on the page. I love that this wasn't cut and dried, and love that these characters had to work for the love life that they wanted.
This was a great story, and I could picture everything so clearly in my head. What hooked me was the cover, the look on his face is priceless. a great HEA, and all around story, you won't be sorry you picked this one up. Told in dual pov.

*I received a free copy of The Swedish Prince from Tantor Media. This has in no way influenced my review which is honest and unbiased.*

The Swedish Prince was a very sweet, hot, and romantic story. I enjoyed traveling to Stockholm, and I also enjoyed the characters back stories.
