????? Why did they go there???

3.5/5 stars!

The saga continues with the third book in the Immortals series, after leaving on a cliffhanger I had to carry on with the series. Unfortunately with the third book about two hundred of the pages were just plain boring. What is actually good about these books is how fast paced and entertaining they are. We’re not here really for the writing style, heck even some of the characters (I probably only like Roman and Ever) the plot makes absolutely no sense 89% of the time but I’m defiantly here for the drama.

Romangate is still happening and now Damen and Ever can’t share body fluid they can touch but not really because of the antidote that Roman made. And a new character Jude is introduced to put a spanner in the works but for me he made literally no waves. This man made no impact in my opinion. Plus I swear Haven and Miles are just getting even worse and don’t even get me started on Damen…

Damen is the most insecure man ever. He’s very selfish and self centered that (slight spoilers) Ever has to make a choice between getting the antidote or saving her best friend and he literally says to take the antidote. He even says he’s disappointed in her that she’s even considering to save her best friend. He even admits to her multiple times that he ruined her life in other lives and ruined her relationships so he could have her. And it’s strange because they have no chemistry. He also never seems very interested in Ever. He constantly doubts her feelings for him like pot the kettle black much? He’s so a very strange man and not in a good way. He really is such a boring character deep down like this man is just an insert vampire boyfriend here type.

There’s this really silly side plot of him adopting these thirteen year old girls (weird and even Ever admits how weird it is) like what is that even about? Romy and Rayne need to get killed off or something soon I’m praying. They are so annoying and literally add nothing to the story it’s just so random. It’s kind of like the author is making it up as she goes along.

But my biggest problem with this instalment is how boring it is. From pages 100-280/300 it’s a snoozefest. Nothing happens. And that’s one thing I can say about the first two books they are at least fast paced and exciting. But this book was just boring nothing even happens until the end. I’m praying the author does something with Roman as a character make him a love interest something. Damen is just such a bad character written and as a boyfriend. He’s so pretentious I actually think I’m beginning to hate him.

I will probably carry on with the series maybe till the next book? Again a massive cliffhanger and I need to know what happens next.

This series gives me nothing, yet i am tied in knots over it!

This book picks right up after the events in book two. The two mains are stuck in a devastating situation.

Damon is convinced he needs to change his selfish ways, and try to lead a less self-indulgent lifestyle. So he plans to sell his mansion, and start taking the bus. No more fancy cars, designer labels, or priceless art and jewelry.

This is all a big annoyance to Ever. She is desperate to bring things back to normal, after her hasty actions created these dire consequences.

Some events take place, and Damon reverts right back to his old ways, which creates more of an annoying character blip than any meaningful character growth on his part.

Ever continues to stubbornly stick to her narrow-minded theories, refusing to think over the consequences or repercussions of her actions. She and Damon discuss many things, but she never once considers maybe waiting a little while might just be a good thing. As a result, multiple things go wrong, multiple people are hurt, and problems continue to compound.

There is a new love interest introduced into this story, and the possible effects of that are heartbreaking.

Rowen is still around.

Her two 'best friends' are exactly like the 'besties' in Mean Girls. The chick is constantly catty, mean, negative, competitive. She is constantly mimicking her flavor of the week, she is forever inserting herself into Evers business, and is self centered, selfish, jealous, and rude. She, in short, is a horrible person, and friend.  I don't understand why they are friends at all. I cant stand her. The guy isn't as horrible, but is pretty wrapped up in himself too.

The twins are now here, living with Damon, in a semi parent/child dynamic. It annoys me that despite the fact that they gave Ever info before that proved correct, she still does not listen to them in times of crisis. They also don't share important details. This in turn causes Ever to make rash actions.

Im still interested/invested in these characters, and the series is 6-7 books long, so I'm sure I'm in for a real train wreck of a journey. But i do want to know what happens.

A least it was a little better than the first two. One small thing that bothered me even though it wasn't really important was the extreme overuse of squinting. Once it was on a single page three times. But Ever still is an awful heroine and the book is so cheesy it has me looking for nachos. (See what I did there? Ha ha.) But anyway, I'll finish the others just for a sense of completion.

pouah.... il n'y a RIEN qui m'ait plu dans ce livre !

Gaah Ever is such an idiot! I can't even describe how much I dislike her! She's always doing something wrong and she pisses me off like you wouldn't believe! She's pretty much useless. She has a couple strong points but it's really nothing that any other immortal couldn't do. And at the end of this one, with Haven. HOW STUPID COULD SHE BE?! I get that it would be hard to just let that happen to your best friend, but Ever knew what would happen because of her decision! She did the same thing that Damon did to her; didn't give her a choice. UGH!

She makes me want to give up the series. But at the same time, I'm curious as to what happens next; what her next screw up will be.

This freaking series makes me have so many damn feels, most of them not good, a lot of them being anger/frustration, and then the few good ones that make be keep reading.

Literally a semi-remake of New Moon. The plot line is starting to get interesting despite all the ways Ever messes everything up.

I noticed that a lot of people seem to be dissapointed with this book, but I really liked it. I definitely like the character of Jude and I'm looking forward to reading more about him in the next installment!

I'm done. I'm getting a little tired of this main female character giving all of her self over to a guy. She's lost her own identity. It's boring and offensive. I can't finish this one. Done with the series. This series went down in flames for me.
