So Roman. Not all that interesting to me. And I know, you're wondering likely, why I kept reading if I wasn't into it by now, which I got questioned about, but mostly I want to know how it all ends.
Adding to the list of things that got weird -- the portrayal of witchcraft, chakras, anything related to this. I was very meh. And yet I still want to see Damen happy, because (as predictable) the only people who really matter to me are the ones who are centuries old, while the teenager and adult main characters sort of slide by, even the narrator, who never stops being a teenager.

Ok this is where the author lost me being a fan of hers. I am never even finishing the series thats how bored i am right now!! You can't have the Summary of the book have another character like Jude come in that will a huge event in Evers' life and not even have him come into the picture until three fourths [3/4 if you cant tell] of the book is done! This is getting so pathetic!!

Were to begin....
To be brutally honest I was a little disappointed in this book. The other 2 in the series kept you on your toes and had you on the edge of your seat to know what's gonna happen next. I found this book didn't really take you anywhere new. Don't get me wrong, I love this series and I'll most definitely be reading the next book.
Shadowland picks up where Blue Moon left off. Immortals Damen and Ever have been cursed, any touch of DNA and Damen will die and get sent to the shadowlands, a murky underworld for lost souls.
As Ever starts to search for a cure for Damen, she meets Jude a gorgeous empath who loves to surf. Hmmm hottie alert! *giggles*
Ok, let's start with Ever, a typical hormonal teenage girl that is just prone to always making the wrong decisions. She really got on my nerves in this book, I kept waiting for her to learn from her mistakes but - sadly no.
Damen.. Damen.. Damen so gorgeous and sensitive yet...stupid!! What were you thinking mate?! You need to fight for the woman you love!! I must admit I had little giggles over the things he does in this book... him and his Karma. *shakes head* lol
We then have Roman a man who's out for revenge against Damen and Ever, he loves to play his games and is always one step ahead of them through everything. I seriously can't stand Roman, I'd just love to give him what for! lol
I would have loved for Haven and Miles to be in the story a bit more, they are just great characters and great friends to Ever. Sabine she's such a wonderful person, i'd love to have her as my Aunty! :)
Well that's pretty much it..short and sweet. Well, maybe not so sweet! lol
I'd say I lean more towards a 3 1/2 - 4 stars

Let me just start off by saying that I loved Evermore and Blue Moon. I loved Ever and Damen. I loved the whole concept of The Immortals. I really just loved the first two books. With that being said...I did not love this one.
I can't read and enjoy books with a unlikeable main character. I'm sure most of you can't either. In Shadowland Ever becomes very very unlikeable in my opinion. She is amazingly annoying and just keeps making the same mistakes over over again. There was no character development in the installment. Instead it seems like Ever's character is going backwards. Character non-development if you will. The only redeeming factor is Damen. He's a great character but even in this book I got a little annoyed at his trying to protect Ever and his insistence about being selfish and a bad person. It all sounds vaguely familiar. Like a certain brooding vampire had said it all before.
With all that being said, I will still read Dark Flame when it is released. I won't be looking forward to it with the same vigor as I was for this one. I hoping that maybe Shadowland was a stepping stone book and the story will pick back up with the next book. I'm also hoping that Ever smartens up a little in the next edition.

Ever and Damen's saga continues in this thrilling story that tests the endurance of their love, and their intelligence as they struggle to save Damen from the poison, and to save their immortal souls from the end to which they are headed.
