This book did start a bit slow. However, I was very grateful for the brief summary of the first 2 books through out the beginning (since it had been awhile since I read the first books).

After that start, I was so invested! I loved the way that the author weaved the characters from both previous books into one. I felt that the first two books were very different in tone, but we've finally come together.

We have also really gotten into the romance part of this fantasy romance!  I am so invested. There were many times that I was speeding through it because I needed to know what happened next. I loved it and need to read the finale ASAP.

I just can't get enough of Olina. That girl is hardcore. And boy has Jovan met his match with her. Someone who is just as tough and stubborn as he. To read all that they go through is just phenomenal. Plus I just love how they bicker, it just make you laugh.

I’m not gonna lie this series is a bit overwhelming. There are just a lot of different events and situations that happen and they’re complicated. A tiny part of me felt like it was too much.

I'm not going to rehash all the problems I have with this series - my rant in the book 2 review covers it.

I am not sure why I'm powering through. It is probably mostly because I have a really hard time quitting a story without knowing the ending. And because the guys are all not acting like assholes now, at least. It doesn't excuse their behavior previously, but it isn't ongoing, which is probably what saves it from DNF.

Though, of course, that is another trope I hate - if you just hang in there long enough, eventually the abusive asshole will care about you and change!

Bleh.

Not going to talk much about this right now. I still enjoy it and I like the ending of this book rather than the first two. In a nutshell, it is worth reading.
On my way reading the last book!

Great third installment!

I absolutely adore this series. The world and character building continues and everything you loved from the first two continues here! Can't wait for #4!
